The NPS Production Crew was hard at work this Mother’s Day producing
the first of a series of weekend events known as Kids Fun Day for the
Cleveland Indians. Yes our crew was able to sneak a phone call into
mom, but It was the thousands of children participating in our pre
game baseball event that put a Big Smile on our face. Fans were able
to hit, pitch and have baseball fun. Fans were able to learn the rich
history of the Cleveland Indians as well as spend some time with the
Cleveland Indians Mascot Slider.
All of us here at NPS would like to thank our great partners at the
Cleveland Indians, Key Bank and the Gateway Sports Complex and look
forward to a excellent season.
Go Indians!

The National Pastime Crew was hard at work, along with the Cincinnati Reds and Wanna Play? during the Civil Rights weekend offering activities and fun! Fans had a variety to choose from on the warm, sunny day in downtown Cincinnati such as Speed Pitch, Lil Sluggers and the Slide Home Slide. Thousands of baseball fans and families came through the WannaPlay? area next to Fountain Square. NPS had Negro League Players signing autographs and posing for pictures!
Current Reds and Cardinals’ players, along with former Red’s Stars Eric Davis and Barry Larkin joined by former MLB star Harold Reynolds, current MLB analyst for MLB television, came out to the Lil Sluggers Field and led WannaPlay? clinics for baseball fans of all ages. National Pastime Sports would like to thank MLB, Cincinnati Reds and WannaPlay? for a great weekend full of fun and history.

National Pastime Sports, along with the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball brought history and pride to the city of Cincinnati. Fans of the league celebrated the Civil Rights game and the honoring of three outstanding Beacon Award recipients; Billie Jean King, Harry Belafonte and Willie Mays. Their continued support and hard work has opened the doors for people of all size, shape and color. The NPS crew was on hand to graphically themeing the event, along with creating cases honoring each recipient, showcasing their achievements with facts, memorabilia and pictures!
The NPS team would like to thank again the MLB and Cincinnati Reds for hosting an inspiring event and look forward to next year.
