NPS BRAVES THE ELEMENTS TO PRODUCE THE BIG CHILL FANFEST.

December 11, 2010 marked a moment in sports history and National Pastime Sports at the Big House in Ann Arbor Michigan. Featuring the largest outdoor hockey crowd in history, NPS produced The Big Chill  Fanfest at the stadium creating a hockey themed playground for fans of all ages. Wolverine and Spartan fans alike had the ability to test their hockey skills on interactive hockey rinks while enjoying a pregame concert on the main stage.

National Pastime Sports would like to thank the University of Michigan, Michigan Sports Marketing and the thousands of fans who braved the weather to be part of this historic event.

National Pastime Sports and the Cincinnati Reds break records at the 6th Annual Redsfest in snowy downtown Cincinnati.

For the 6th consecutive year National Pastime Sports produced the Cincinnati Redsfest at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Fans fought the snowy weather and came out in thousands for the two-day event.  The 2010 NL Central Division Champions made stage appearances, signed autographs and celebrated their excellent 2010 season.  Kids and adults had the chance to test their swing in the batting cages, learn Cincinnati Reds history in the Hall of Fame area and hit homeruns at the Home Run Derby Field against Brandon Phillips

NPS Rocks the Red at Capitals Convention

The National Pastime Sports Production team was hard at work “Building America’s Hockey Capital” at the 2nd annual Washington Capitals Convention. Led by show designer and producer David H. Martin, the Washington Convention Center was transformed into an engaging and interactive environment never before seen in hockey.

The sold out event greeted fans entering the “Rock the Red Entrance” with all the sights, sounds and excitement of Capitals Hockey.  This theme park of hockey created many interactive displays where fans could test their skills against the best in the NHL as well as play street hockey with Capitals Captain Alex Ovechkin.

The Fan Stage hyped the upcoming season with music, games, giveaways and special appearances including the unveiling of the upcoming Winter Classic Jerseys.

Capitals fans are ready to “ROCK the RED”.

Ice has melted by the Blackhawks Pride sizzles in the Summer Heat

For the third consecutive year National Pastime Sports produced an unforgettable fan experience and hockey environment at the 2010 Chicago Blackhawk Convention. This year marked an extremely special year as the 2010 Stanley Cup Champions continued their celebration of their Championship season with their fans. The Chicago Hilton was turned into Blackhawk central for the weekend and provided the backdrop for a most memorable event.

The convention featured ceremonies with the Stanley Cup, historical displays, silent auctions, autographs, photo opportunities and of course interactive hockey displays and games. Fans of all ages had the opportunity to go one on one with a live goalie on center ice, test their slapshot speed at the Hardest Shot and take pictures with the NHL catalog of prestigious awards and trophies.

National Pastime Sports would like thank the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Hilton, Hockey Hall of Fame and especially the fans for a great weekend full of memories, history and especially fun!  Go Hawks!

National Pastime Sports scores with Lacrosse

The weather was gorgeous as the city of Baltimore hosted the NCAA Lacrosse Championships this past Memorial day weekend. The NPS production team
was hard at work producing the NCAA’s Fan Event LAXperience.

The Fanfest attended by lacrosse stick carrying passionate fans was a pure demonstration of the collegiate spirit. NPS was excited to be involved in the event creating lacrosse interactive opportunities for fans to test their skills, stage entertainment and decor as well as many historical lacrosse displays.

National Pastime Sports is thrilled to be at the grass roots development and promotion of Lacrosse in the United States. We would like to thank our great partners at the NCAA, Capital One and the Baltimore Ravens for making this event a great success.

NPS celebrates Mother’s Day with the Cleveland Indians.

The NPS Production Crew was hard at work this Mother’s Day producing
the first of a series of weekend events known as Kids Fun Day for the
Cleveland Indians. Yes our crew was able to sneak a phone call into
mom, but It was the thousands of children participating in our pre
game baseball event that put a Big Smile on our face. Fans were able
to hit, pitch and have baseball fun. Fans were able to learn the rich
history of the Cleveland Indians as well as spend some time with the
Cleveland Indians Mascot Slider.

All of us here at NPS would like to thank our great partners at the
Cleveland Indians, Key Bank and the Gateway Sports Complex and look
forward to a excellent season.

MLB WannaPlay? excites city of Cincinnati during Civil Rights weekend!

The National Pastime Crew was hard at work, along with the Cincinnati Reds and Wanna Play? during the Civil Rights weekend offering activities and fun! Fans had a variety to choose from on the warm, sunny day in downtown Cincinnati such as Speed Pitch, Lil Sluggers and the Slide Home Slide. Thousands of baseball fans and families came through the WannaPlay? area next to Fountain Square. NPS had Negro League Players signing autographs and posing for pictures!

Current Reds and Cardinals’ players, along with former Red’s Stars Eric Davis and Barry Larkin joined by former MLB star Harold Reynolds, current MLB analyst for MLB television, came out to the Lil Sluggers Field and led WannaPlay? clinics for baseball fans of all ages. National Pastime Sports would like to thank MLB, Cincinnati Reds and WannaPlay? for a great weekend full of fun and history.

Civil Rights weekend in Cincinnati brings History to Life

National Pastime Sports, along with the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball brought history and pride to the city of Cincinnati. Fans of the league celebrated the Civil Rights game and the honoring of three outstanding Beacon Award recipients; Billie Jean King, Harry Belafonte and Willie Mays. Their continued support and hard work has opened the doors for people of all size, shape and color. The NPS crew was on hand to graphically themeing the event, along with creating cases honoring each recipient, showcasing their achievements with facts, memorabilia and pictures!

The NPS team would like to thank again the MLB and Cincinnati Reds for hosting an inspiring event and look forward to next year.

NPS Puts on our Game Face at the FROZEN FOUR

The NPS Production Team had its game face on going into overtime
producing events for this years 2010 NCAA Frozen Four Men’s Hockey
Championships in Detroit. Within 48 Hours of striking and loading out
at the Final Four in Indianapolis, the NPS Production Team created two
engaging and interactive environments at the Frozen Four including the
College Hockey Fanfest  and the Frozen Four Hockey Hideaway. School
spirit was everywhere as event programming included pep bands, team
mascots and rocking after parties.

The NPS Production Team would like to thank our partners the NCAA,
CCHA and the Detroit Sports Commission for making this event such a
success.

NPS Scores Big at Bracket Town

The NPS production team was hard at work in Indianapolis for the 2010 NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament.  NPS in partnership with IMG Live turned the Indiana Convention Center into the ultimate new FanFest experience called Bracket Town. The NPS team designed and produced the NCAA Hall of Champions area featuring Historical displays, exhibits, photo opportunities and interactive experiences for ten different NCAA Sports Championships.
